No one who knows Chad and Jennifer Gednalske would be surprised to learn that the couple recently committed a generous gift in their will to Gopher football, women’s volleyball, and the Spirit Squad.

In their free time, the Gednalskes are often front and center at Gopher games, sporting all things maroon and gold. “We’re passionate fans,” says Jen, who is president of the Point U! Booster Board.

“We have season tickets to four sports—football, volleyball, men’s basketball, and men’s hockey.” Chad, ’95 B.S., is pharmacist-in-charge at a Twin Cities clinic, and Jen, ’99 B.S., ’02 Pharm.D., is an emergency medicine clinical pharmacist. In addition to providing support to University of Minnesota athletics, the couple also mentors students in the College of Pharmacy.

The couple’s future gift will establish scholarships and create an endowment to send the volleyball team on international trips to learn different styles of play, tailor skills, and strengthen team chemistry.

“It’s hard to become a number one program, and harder yet to stay number one,” Jen says. “Leaving an estate gift will help provide Gopher student-athletes the best opportunity to achieve success at the University and later in life.”
